Fans Forum Success?
Jul 27, 2005

Adrian Boothroyd, Graham Simpson, and Mark Ashton were all present in a night full of questions regarding the present status of the club, from passionate fans.
The Forum proved to be very successful, and perhaps changed some opinions of "unknown and unproven" manager Aidy Boothroyd. Aidy told us of his ambitions of being our football manager, and wants to stay at the club and make a name for his-self, by "getting the club into Europe in 5 years".
Tonight was the time we have heard from Mark Ashton, those who have had their doubts over him, may also have been cleared up. I was impressed by the way he finally explained what will be happening at the club, and pledged that work will begin this season! Unfortunately, exact details were not given, but we should expect a "365 days a year business". This will involve development of three stands, The Rookery, East Stand, and The Rous, which will be our new main stand. We are promised that this "Stadium Development" is totally unique, and has not been done by any business in the UK. All this, costing less that the original plans for the new East Stand!
I was comforted by the words from Graham Simpson. Especially those "I will not fail" "I promise, I will not fail". I fully back our chairman, and think all of our supporters should get behind our staff, and players. Aidy told us that he is not happy with the current squad, hopefully a few new faces in, and we can trust Aidy to take us back where we belong. The Premiership!
