Yes our defence showed no sign of being an organised "unit" for 2 years and I always saw Prodl as a proper leader at CB.
I would love to know what happened to our midfield... A year ago Douc and Capoue were being touted as the best duo outside the top six, so how did their energy and power evaporate.? Makes zero sense in my mind so they need to resolve something or drop him for a few games...

Capoue seems to have been injured a bit this season whilst think Doucoure thought he was going and isn't fully focused .

Agree, Doucs clearly thought he was off given Everton's offer, no smoke without fire and all that. Although he'd have ended up in a relegation scrap either way.

I think you're on the right track there. Thinking back, Douc was sure last season he was putting himself in the window for a huge top 6 move. Deulefeu signed with a view on a big move to Milan or similar and felt last season would be a big hoorar with us and then be off. Neither happened.
Capoue had a great 18 months til last Feb but I think he blew a gasket and his age and legs are now against him. Can't find any excuse for the further deterioration of defence.
Two most annoying issues.. A) Douc from hero to zero, b) Pereyra played all last season, then all summer for Argentina, and yet he currently has more energy than most..!??

Sarr played for Senegal today against Brazil

That should give him some match fitness - or he will too tired to face Spurs next week!
