Deeney

I have to say that I now wonder if my own thoughts on Deeney last season (and maybe a lot of us?) might soon be proved to have been a bit harsh ?
He was rubbish last season and I felt that his weight gains (including training with AJ) over the last 2 years were based on arrogance and a hefty salary, but so far this season I see a different player, and I wonder if his Op last August was based on a bigger injury than I thought, and that along with a lack of pre-season etc, and lack of game time, meant he was never going to get fit enough to hold his own in the prem.
I was keen on him leaving tbh but I am honour bound to say I was wrong ! His performance with Gray last week was sublime and long may it last ! Big clap for Gray as well after a tough first season ?

Those first two games have got me really excited for the rest of this season, the idea right now that only 10 more wins and a few draws = safety seems a reasonable February target this time around (famous last words !!!)
