Blimey - could have least protected our goal difference!

In the end we've finished worse off than before Friday's game...

Mind you the defence hasn't been that solid for a while away from home.

I mean Brighton could have scored 3.

A shocker.! They looked like they were playing a training session at full pelt, we looked like we had played a match just the day before and had travelled a 7 hour plane journey on the day of the match.
Trouble is, on their day both Liverpool and Man City can destroy any of the lower 14 teams in the Prem, and we have shown before that Liverpool are likely to tear us apart at anfield.
The only real issue of being turned over like that is the effect on the attitude of our top players... Douc, Pereyra, and Deulefeu will now be back in interviews saying they want to play for a big club.

Forgot to mention... How was Manes back heel goal not offside, he looked a mile off to me. Also we need to fix our left midfield issues, Pereyra is class at times but not a week to week midfielder, poor Massina had no hope last night without midfield cover and Pereyra often goes missing.

Big pitch, away, scousers coming off a disappointing draw... not terribly surprising. The amount is disturbing, but I thought 3-0 was a distinct possibility. We need better from the left side. If Pereyra's not in form, perhaps we should run out Penaranda over for a few matches. See what he's got. Wouldn't min a few more minutes for Quina either. Give the opposition someone else they have to think about marking.

Who was supposed to be marking Van Dijk for the 2 goals from set plays and clearly our wide man as pointed out made no effort to help the full backs defend.

Oh well - should be well rested for Sunday and no excuse for being tired..
