Short on defenders it seems .

Dawson ,Prodl , Kabasele and Jaamaat out .

Surely won't play 3 central defenders ?

Got to try and outscore them !

So Kabasele got injured whilst suspended? Or was he injured before? Can't remember

Trouble is, the news just gets worse each week.! A weekly injury, none of them recover within six weeks, apparently they all feel too much pressure now. We understand that but broadcasting it all to the media just has every oppo manager and team rubbing their hands with glee.!
Flores must feel he is on thin ice to keep speaking out like this.?
What a mess.!
Mind you it appears that a "flukey" four months of winning games and getting to 7th last Xmas has single handedly crippled the team, mainly by reducing investment in players, as it was deemed unnecessary. I think that's why Gracia was booted out.... Told GP he had great players he wanted to keep "just get me a big signing of a class winger to finalise my squad" and it went up in smoke.....

I think same as last week, they are low in confidence, start slow... Sneak a goal and beat us 3.0

Good finish by Sarr.

Could have scored more .

They look pretty poor but have given them room to play at times .

Well did we make any positive attacking moves in the 2nd half .

Poor defending from Kiko and Holebas whilst Foster maybe at fault for 2nd?

So VAR spots the handball for their first goal after the event. VAR is not our friend.

The call giving the free kick was very soft. Kiko and Holebas are what they are, you can't expect lock down defending from either of them. Especially once they get tired. Would rather have seen Deeney on instead of Gray, and probably for Hughes. Deeney's physical presence could have helped control the centre. GD had an off day when we needed him most. His touch deserted him most of the day.

VAR didn't go for us I guess but doesn't hide the poor 2nd half .

WE got what we deserved for a negative performance and subs .

Gave Southampton all the pressure and momentum.

VAR has cost us several points this season.

Does kind of sum up the season!

I was half surprised they didn't get a penalty when Foster and Ings clashed.

I said we'd lose 3.0 and then watched a very competent 60 minute performance, which had me starting to wonder if this was the start of our climb. Then 2 subs later they were all over us and got 2 soft goals.... Just about sums us up.
I now expect to hear that Challobah is knee crocked again (he took a big knock) so that's another out.....
Surely time soon to bring in a new championship level manager to get us ready for next season, work out which of the current players will have a stomach for the c/ship, and work out what players we will need. (Like Fulham did).

By the December window we'll either be moving forward with some semblance of a chance or not. If not (likely) we'll probably see a sell off of the ones with value and/or who aren't up to the Championship physically.

That would be Pereyra, Deulofeu, Doucoure, Femenia and Holebas. Others not physically up for it (and who likely wouldn't fancy it) are Prodl and Janmaat. Masina and Foulquier are probably fine at that level but may try to force moves in the summer. The problem becomes clear once again. We can't jettison all of those in December because we simply don't have replacements. The smart move (if doable) would be to start buying up the fastest fullbacks you can find in the Championship and perhaps another Centre back. The Bundesliga might work as well. Pay for them by selling Pereyra, Doucoure and possibly Deulofeu in December. Mix that lot up with a few youngsters and see if you can squeak by in the 2nd half. If not, you're only a few moves away from solidity in the Championship. The next issue is finding a manager who has enough ideas to get you promoted.

Flores pretty much gone it seems :

Sounds like a man who knows he is on the brink and just waiting for the P45 and large pay off !
