Definitely earned it, what with his strong performances and impeccable injury record

They will probably keep at least 2 of the older, oft-broken centre halves. As a reserve/spot player he can be useful. I suspect that whoever completes training camp without rupturing something from among the group of Britos, Kaboul, Prodl - 2 will survive. It's something of an insurance policy. Those who lose the spot(s) - unless they are completely crippled, will likely be loaned off somewhere to reduce the wages impact.

I think you are right .... there is no way GP will be bringing in 2 classy new CBs this summer, although much will depend on who actually leaves us I guess ? We've got the new young CB, and I reckon 1 new striker, one LB, a Douc replacement + one other back-up midfield / all-rounder, maybe another young winger to replace Ric if he goes ?
A lot will depend on what happens with Gray / Deeney / Kaboul / Success / Sinclair etc ? I am guessing of course !!
