Yeah I think we're doomed now, three under par performances with a really tough run in the next few games. If we can't beat Brighton, Villa or Everton after being ahead each time, what chance do we have against Burnley Leicester let alone LFC etc....
This squad needs ripping apart this summer with a real need for more players with grit and intensity.!

Just realised that Ben Watson plays for Forest. He could be going up whilst we head down.

Think he is captain?!

So we worked hard according to Pearson - well that ought to be a given for any professional!

We had no quality on the ball and even though Foster maybe hasn't had much to do we have only got 1 point from 3 winnable games with some more positive play ..

Have calmed down a bit now but thinking about it, every year there are one or two teams just like us (Hull / Huddersfield /Fulham) that are half decent teams, but just lack something, have low confidence, and then they can find an easy way every week to lose.
I've decided this is all GPS fault with his MO of buying too many cheap foreign players just because the moneys right, but hardly any thought on the specific type of players we need at any point in time. (OK not so with Sarr and Riccie.)
In seven years there have only been a few good players that were purchased to fit a managers needs, (even Douc took 18 months to come good) our defence has been poor for 2 years and we did nothing to put things right. We are stuck now with several very average players on ong contracts, on our way down... Total mess...
Looking forward to a good clear out this summer so let's hope we have A dynamic manager who can rebuild a younger more robust squad....

Even if we did stay up (actually gained a point on Bournemouth) the squad would need a big transformation.

Most of our team in a defensive sense are probably past their peak/best/not really good enough and I doubt the likes of Pereyra, GD and Doucouré would hang around anymore in my view if their agents got them an attractive move for good money.

Could you rely on Chalobah and Cleverley to stay fit all season?

As for up front - well we keep chopping and changing the strikers on the bench which says it all whilst Deeney battles hard but without much joy up front.

Pedro seems to be not ready yet.

We haven't even got any goalies between their mid-30s and early 20s!!

Will be interesting to see the players clamouring to get away. Pereyra, Douc, Sarr, Deulefeu, definite leavers. Kabs will have admirers and Pedro will be 50/50.? Femenia and Capoue.. not sure.
Players around next season...
Foster, Dahlberg.
Cathcart, Dawson, Mapps, Massina,
Hughes, Quina, Cleverly, Challobah.
Deeney, Success.
Then it's U23s and some carefully selected additions fit for purpose.... But we would have a good bank balance from sales to bring in 6 decent players....

How are they going to cope with playing midweek games instead of having a precious winter break??! (despite most of them having a break already during FA Cup weekends....)

Good point, and partly what I mean about bringing in players with grit and intensity. Teams from the Prem regularly struggle back in the championship and our bunch would be run off the park most weeks.,!
Can you imagine Deulefeu... He would spend 75 minutes on his backside each game.....
