Gianfranco Zola has reached an agreement with Watford, now missing only the ad. We anticipate the numbers: Two years from 400 000 euros per season plus bonus. Among the staff there will be Adolfo Sormani, former coach of the Spring of Naples, and Giancarlo Corradini

Steep but hey I guess the Pozzo's can afford it. They're guessing and I'm not sure if they expect him to pay his assistants out of that, probably not but I think that's how it's done over there. In reality it's just an average Championship players salary anyway.
This info still isn't a done deal but the name of the third coach is new.

I wouldn't say worried, but I also think the first half of this season will be a struggle.
Hopefully as things settle down, the latter part of the season things will improve.

For you, me and the Watford of old ..... but really no more than average I reckon. No matter what happened afterwards Zola did get West Ham to 9th in the Prem and that has to mean something. And of course, coaches are better paid on the continent.

I suspect that or the opposite, we haven't seen the team yet. As far as our younger lads go they can all pass the ball well in tight area's so it will be easier for them ... not sure about the rest though, apart from Lloyd naturally

Which is probably about player average for this league.
It's different from country to country but in top Italian clubs 1st team coaches are on over Є2m a year, I don't know if that includes their staff salaries.

I won't argue but that's big jump from the £600 pw the season before ... yes he really was the cheap option
Anyway Zola's wages are the least of my worries, the owners aren't short of a bob or two.

Well actually they are. without transfer sales the clubs they run lose money consistantly. Gabriele Marcotti did a very interesting peice on them. they are running about even at mo but without selling more players next year they will be in trouble.

Udinese would have lost 30-40m Euros last season had it not been for player sales.
Great.
We're f***ing c***ed as JT would say

Any shop that can't sell it's wares will be in trouble and that's how they operate, as a shop.
Breaking even while expanding is not to be scoffed at and neither is being wholly in the black to the tune they are with the player assets they have so just stop the scaremongering Ab11.
Which article BTW? I could only find an older one and is the CL money included in the calcs?

Does a shop get paid for being where they are? a absolutely stupid comparison.
