We should start him. He gets a longer, better warmup before the game than he gets on the side of the pitch. If he gets tired or tightness, pull him then. I'd rather have 60 minutes of Success then 30 of someone like Janmaat than the other way round.

It's incredibly frustrating that a player of his brute force and skill is only playing for 5 minutes a game

What I don't understand is that we have loads of u21 fixtures, why not play him then?

Even if he's not fully fit, stick him up front and reduce his work load. God knows we need him out there

Agreed. I'm 99% convinced that "not fit" means "he hasn't grasped my tactical master plan".

Against Sunderland the master tactical plan should be to start Amrabat, Niang, Deeney, Success and perhaps and attack them like we're storming a bloody beach somewhere. After we net a few goals, we can add all the defensive wizards Wally wants.

I must admit to frustration on this one. He looks a good player when he gets more than 20minutes. If he's not match fit, why is he not getting a run in u21 games? Unless there is an underlying injury (Gotze style metabolism-type thing), why not get him more minutes with the stiffs?
Streets ahead.

Gone to Malaga for the Season. Okaka better stay now.
Maybe half a season + pre season will do him the world of good for next season (or he'll get injured and never play for us again)

Getting rid of a player who isn't taking up a squad place seems stupid. Lukebakio may well be a decent player, but surely Success' relative experience means we should have kept him.

Looking like we'll leave the transfer window with a weaker attack than we started with

It’s probably about his chances to play in the World Cup as he wont get the necessary game time with us.

He isn't/wasn't likely to help us much this year. He needs games. If this "B" team were ready to go, that might have been a better option.

Have to say the Pozzo record on strikers is very patchy !

For every Vydra and Ighlo they have sold on for good money there are a few duds.

Everybody's record on strikers is sketchy. It's like hot women in bars. Expensive, sexy, desirable - everyone wants them, everyone chases them...

but at least half are bloody nightmares.

Anyone who saw him play at Manchester City last year knows that he has potential to be a serious player. He had Zabelleta on toast when came on. If he gets his head together we do not want to let him go. We should have enough psychologists in the club to get him performing at his potential. Shame on the club if they can't.

Yep. The Nigerian lads tend to surround themselves with the wrong people, agents that care more about the money coming in than sorting their client out. Really any half decent agent would be giving him a slap and telling him to lay off the cakes (and baileys)

I think that's what the guy at West Ham was trying to get at, it wasn't a race thing, more that they are very poorly advised.

Seems like Penaranda has been not pulling his weight in the right way either and been missing training,.

Hope the Pozzos aren't relying on these two for the future goals then!
