When does he not predict that?! Does mean we’re safe though, so can’t complain.

Lots do. Generally comprised of "big club" and "pricey forward" obsessed people.There also seemed to be a general (but predictable) bias towards rating deals done late ahead of deals done early (liverpool's deals being the notable exception).

Amrabat was hard working, a handful for defenders and generally useful, but as we know, his end product was oftentimes inacurrate and delivered late. So Merson - like many - is confusing activity with productivity.

If the new fullbacks turn out even average, that alone is worth another 10 points. Top half a very realistic expectation. Higher possible.

My point was Amrabat didn't even play for us last season!

How could he have been one of our best players?

Must admit it was nice seeing 2 wide players with a bit of pace last weekend - I think we will create chances - just need to finish them.

I see the club put out some picture of Okaka training to appease the fans - well he will only last 10 minutes in this weather!

Looks like the 2 new full backs will just be subs which is a little frustrating.

To be fair he did play 3-4 games at the start of last year before going on loan.
