Quite confident of a win before yet another bloody international break.

Big game ! They have mainly had the best over us in recent years, up until last season when we beat them away. They are a decent team but I think they have two faces .... Attacking they are quick and know where the goal is, and when they decide to go for it - they always get goals.
On the other hand, defence is their Achilles - and I think this is where we now have the advantage. We are also now a proper ball-playing Prem team who look dangerous on the attack in every game - so for me we really need to take hold of this game, bang some goals in and keep them on the back foot. Wilson is another Zaha in my mind - so I hope we don't give them a silly penalty, but if we play at our best on Saturday we will beat them ...
I am already getting excited about the prospect of maybe seeing GD and NC coming on for a 20 minute end of game cameo ..!
I will say 3-1

See a lot of their fans chuntering after today's news about no new stadium. I think Howe has gone on record about how important the new stadium was going forward, could be the start of the end.

Shame to see Navarro is already injured which leaves us a bit short at right back - Kiko or Mariappa?

Oh dear - the 2 bookings look harsh tbh but we have been poor in defence .

Started quite well too .

Against Bournemouth too - they will be living it up big time !

If we're not strong at the back, everything collapses.

This is an aberration. Not worried.

Interesting to see if thats a bad day or the start of the standard "Deeney opens his gob / Xmas downturn" a few weeks early.

Wolves (A), Udders (H), Geordies (A).

I can't take anything away from Bournemouth as they were better than us by a mile on the day, but the sending off did make a massive difference.
Is it possible that Jon Moss ,the referee, was smarting over the rescinded red card from the Spurs cup game? He seemed very keen to book Kabasele for the 'foul' on their 'keeper that resulted in the first yellow card.
Kabasele was a touch careless with what led up to his second booking and the referee could have given a foul outside the box for the shirt pulllng. But he seemed to jump at the chance to give a penalty and a second yellow card !!

I think the trouble with the first booking was there might have been a slight delay and Kabs was looking at the goalie when making the challenge.

Probably been ok if the goalie had just knocked the ball over the bar or something.

Goalkeepers are very protected as it is.

2nd one looked more of a foul outside the box with the shirt pulling than the actual tackle which led to the penalty - seems to win the ball.

Liverpool's Van Dijk didn't get booked for the same sort of challage yesterday in the Liverpool v Man City game.

I wonder how much influence Deeney's words will have against us - and you can bet quite strongly Eddie Howe and co were right in the officails ear from the off as usual putting pressure on them.

Deeney himself got pulled up the first time he went in for a header very early on.
