I stupidly turned down the chance to go this and have been royally punished by being roped in to cook sausages at my daughters primary school fireworks do.

1-2

Lets hope it doesn't rain for you then!

But does rain goals on Tyneside again for the Orns.

They should be well up for this game but very nervy. The way we have performed recently I think it's basically a case of "if we are up for it we should win it" and with the recent change to 451 I reckon 1-2.....

Disappointing result for us - sounds like we had a few chances first half but gave away a soft goal from a free kick and didn't have much in reply.

Hmm I won't be making any more predictions after that one!
Worrying that our guys couldn't take their chances, but I just wonder if GD is trying far too hard? He was good last week whilst missing chances but sounds like he needs to calm down a bit, he's class so things will happen for him soon.....

Mariappa and Okaka probably not the guys you wanted 6 yards from goal with the net open ..

I wonder if our guys feel almost over confident, and are therefore a bit casual in their finishing, then when it doesn't happen the confidence drops and it all goes downhill.?
I guess this is the reality of top flight footy, you can have some skill, good tactics, high energy etc etc, but it's actually Ruthlessness that divides the top teams from the rest? (Deeney's main attribute). I wonder if he could team up well with GD??
At least we no longer look anything like a bottom 6 team?!!

Wait, what? I kept reading all summer how Okaka was this bloody fantastic finisher. How can this be?

In all seriousness, the difference is quality between Pereyra, Delofeu and the rest of our attacking players is pretty stark. Success may still develop, but the others are role players at best.

Like at Brighton last season it just bounced off his big thigh !

Shame it wasn't Deeney in that situation..

Like Deeney's clinical finishing against Palace?
