New badge..or stick with the current one?

Postby WFC4ever » Tue Sep 10, 2019 7:46 pm

Which new badge would you choose..if any?

We are the latest club to try and modernise our crest and the club have announced a few options but not many have appealed to the fans it seems.

EDIT: Apparently they weren't supposed to have been leaked yet so deleted that link incase anyone gets into bother !

The designs are out there, happy for them to show here.

J for me. I like the way it retains the badge shape, and has a modern take on the hornet design

R in second place... but WTF on the date!!??

I think what was done on the crest portion of L was very clever, although not enamoured with the rest of it. R (with a corrected date) is pretty good. J and a few others aren't bad. Be interested to see the final 5.

Stick with what we have and hope the club move onto something more worthwhile

C is best
D and E are acceptable
Not A or B

My first reaction was B as it stands out with a vicious looking Hornet and would stand out on a yellow shirt.
Now I am preferring E, and D is modern but not quite there....

Still D for me, but agree that its needs a little something else there.

Im up for the change to lose the "moose". But no doubt the moose will remain on this site for ever.

I'm a bit confused, does the winner of these 5 go up finally against Moosey, or is he already a gonna..?

Looks like a fly to me, which is probably appropriate given what they hang around.

They will probably make sure the new badge wins regardless as the club wouldn't want to spend all this time and money going through the process to just end up with keeping the current one .

Technically, all Hornets are Wasps... but not the other way round.

Final vote is underway for fans with an ID.

I voted Moose - but I suspect the fly will win whatever happens to save the clubs blushes.

Voted B, although I preferred one of the badges not selected for final cut.

I do love Moose, but its not like that badge was there at the creation of the club. Things change, and I understand the reason this is being looked at.
