Flores first game - will there be a reaction ?

No Deeney to wind them up or potentially Cathcart.

Just the one up front maybe ..

Can't wait to see the starting line up. It wouldn't surprise me to see Kabs with Prodl, and Janmaat and Massina FBs.?
I hope he starts with Sarr and Welbeck to come on for last 30 mins. Maybe see a 4321 sort of formation. Flores says he wants to get the ball forward quickly so I expect to see us play three deeper midfielders (Capoue, Douc and Cleverly) who's aim is to put quick balls into the channels for Sarr and GD to get onto with Gray up top.

Assuming we will be playing a 4231 formation I would put Chabs with Capoue in front of the defence and push Douc upfield.
These post-intl break games can benefit teams like us (Norwich) so I think this game will be close run....

I don't see the point of Cleverley ahead of either Hughes or Chalobah - unless they can't go 90.

Just our luck - started well but they score after a potential foul ?

65 mins
Watford = 17 shots with 7 on target
Arsenal = 5 shots with 2 on target and scored both
Says it all about our finishing compared to Aubameyang’s

Happy about the point but Arsenal played almost no defense. If we don't work a LOT harder as a unit ManC will thrash us like a rented mule.

Thoroughly enjoyable game. We really should have won but if we can do that against the Arse it’s looking good for us. Pity it’s Man City next week.

FT
Watford = 31 shots with 10 on target 7 corners
Arsenal = 7 shots with 4 on target 4 corners

Who was MOTM? I hope it was one of ours.

Someone get Quique some deodorant for his sweaty pits!

At 20 mins I felt fairly good, at half time I was thinking "oh well still a long way to go", at 65 minutes I thought we are starting to look like a team again, and by 80 mins I thought we should have gained a great comeback and victory.!
My only reservation was Doucoure just doesn't seem as fit as last year, and also - looking how shattered we were near the end you have to question Gracias fitness training methods...? Pre season clearly wasn't any good.

what an open game of football that 2nd half was, most enjoyable and we really should have won that in the last 5 mins

Not surprised they looked shattered given that second half. Gutted when Doucoure missed that sitter, have to class that as a miss rather than great save.

More of that last half hour please, we'll be ok.

For the first time in ages our midfield looked really solid and like they knew their job without the ball. On top of that some of our passing was sublime, lots of quick passes to feet in spite of their pressing.
Two things.. Cleverly back to his very best at last, and I worry about Hughes now.... Very skilful on the ball but always going down without getting a free kick. First half we kept giving the away on the attack, last 30 mins we looked fantastic.!
